Eco Cleaning Services

Designed and built in parnership with award-winning designer, Tim Christie, the Eco Cleaning Services website is a prime example of best practice website development. Built with the ASP.NET MVC framework, the site is 100% XHTML Strict compliant, delivering consistant and accessible results across all browsers and devices.

"Brooklyn IT have provided an amazing service throughout the delivery of our website. Deadlines where always met while constant communication and updates from Andrew himself made the the whole process very smooth. We will continue to use Brooklyn IT in the future and I would have no hesitation of recommending their services."
Steven Gadd, Managing Director, Eco Cleaning Services

PeopleNet Talent Management Systems

Brooklyn IT is the solution provider for the PeopleNet Talent Management system. This product is used by a number of companies and government agencies for managing large pools of job candidates. It is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product allowing each new site to be provisioned quickly and the publishing of information between the sites. One of its winning features is its ability to match candidates to job positions and vice-versa based on a set of weighted algorithms. JobCafe is the public hub of the talent system, where members can choose to share their profiles across all pools. Some high-profile clients include Weta Workshop, the NZ Police IT Division, Tower and the Ministry of Health. The solution is delivered with ASP.NET 3.5, C# and Microsoft SQL Server.

“Weta Workshop have been using both PeopleNet and the recruitment database they created for us, for the past 4 years. I can't begin to explain what an incredible tool this is for us. We receive on average 215 registrations per month and nobody gets lost within this efficient online system and it's finely tuned search functions. The highlight for me is that the profiles are self managed by candidates; prior to weta-people it was a huge undertaking for us to manually add all the important details needed to track applicants on our previous database. We so appreciate this wonderful site and the ongoing support from the 'PeopleNet People' and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to all who will listen.”
Tracey Morgan, Office Manager, Weta Workshop

“Andrew has worked with JobCafe for a few years now but most recently as the solution architect/developer of the current solution. Andrew is an organised, confident and focussed person with a very deep knowledge and understanding of the online environment. Without Andrew's input I doubt the JobCafe solution would be as good or as robust as it is today.” Malcolm Perry, General Manager, PeopleNet Limited

Content Management Systems

Brooklyn IT has delivered a number of .NET-based Content Management Systems (CMS) using multiple frameworks including DotNetNuke, Umbraco and proprietary solutions. The power of content management systems lies in the ability for any authorised user to edit the content directly on the site. Clients can update the content themselves or engage a third-party, with no expensive deployment fees or lock-in with the vendor.

Regional Seasonal Employees System

The New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID, division of MFAT) required a database-driven website for managing season workers in New Zealand. Brooklyn IT delivered this solution using ASP.NET, C#, LLBLGen Pro and Microsoft SQL Server. Special consideration was given to delivering good performance over the low-bandwidth, high-latency internet connections experienced at many small pacific countries. Brooklyn IT also provided requirements gathering and database normalisation services for NZAID.

"Andrew Bartle has worked with NZAID on the development of two software systems. The first contract was as a data architect. This included looking at an old legacy database system and converting the database to a normalized, efficient state, ready for an upgrade to a new application. We were extremely happy with what he achieved. The second and subsequent assignments were to do with the development of a web application which was to be accessed by governments throughout the pacific. Once again, we were impressed with the speed and accuracy of the development. With very minimal user requirements, Andrew built an application that fully met the requirements of the business. This was completed within the required timeframe and budget."
Jennie Johnson, I.S. Manager, NZAID

Smallfish E-Commerce Solution

Andrew is a director, co-founder and developer at Smallfish Limited. Smallfish is a revolution, allowing small and home businesses to whip up a professional looking online shop in minutes. Smallfish is a great showcase of his capabilities as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution developer. Andrew is one of two lead developers on this project.

Smallfish has been developed with ASP.NET 3.5, C#, Linq and Microsoft SQL Server.
